What we treat here
Pain is the first thing to leave. Strength is the last to train and recover.
Most people stop somewhere in between and call it recovered. That is the gap this clinic works in: injuries and operations where the pain has settled and the hand, shoulder, knee or back still will not do what it used to.
Hand therapy
The finger, hand, wrist, forearm and elbow. Fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, carpal and cubital tunnel, and the stiffness that follows hand surgery. Custom thermoplastic splints are molded here in the appointment.
Physiotherapy
Backs and necks, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Injury, degeneration, and recovery after orthopedic surgery including knee and hip replacement and ligament reconstruction.
Sports and deep tissue massage, TCM and craniosacral therapy are also available at Orchard as supporting treatments alongside physiotherapy and hand therapy.
How recovery is run
4-Stage Structured Recovery
Every plan at Phoenix runs on the Phoenix Recovery Protocol: four stages, with measurable criteria to move between them. You get a stage diagnosis at your first appointment, in writing.
Calm & Protect
Settling an angry joint is work, not rest. Protect the injury, and load only what the tissue can take.
Move & Mobilize
Range is trained back, not waited for. Measured in degrees at each review.
Rebuild & Strengthen
Strength, stability and stamina, loaded progressively and measured against your other side.
Return & Perform
Work, sport, stairs, gripping, lifting. Tested, not assumed.
None of the four stages is passive. Every one is trained, and every one has criteria you have to meet before you leave it. How the Protocol works →
Who you will see at Orchard
One therapist, one room, 45 minutes
You stay with the same therapist, because measuring range and strength over time only means something if the same person is taking the measurements. All are registered with the Allied Health Professions Council.

What it costs
One price, stated once
Assessment & Treatment
One standard 45-minute physiotherapy or hand therapy appointment, nett, no GST. Most of it is treatment. We work out what is actually driving the problem, and then we treat it, in the same appointment. You do not pay for a consultation and come back another day to be treated.
- Hands-on treatment from the first appointment: manual therapy, joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and a splint molded here if you need one
- Range, strength and function measured against your other side
- A stage diagnosis against the four stages
- A written plan and a home program you walk out holding
- Your next review dated into the diary with the same therapist
Your therapist then dates each stage review into the diary, so you know what the program involves before you commit to anything. No packages and no discounts for booking a course.
Getting here
Orchard Towers, Level 12, and the entrance people miss
We are in the front block of Orchard Towers, facing Orchard Road, at the junction with Claymore Road. There is a stairway entrance at the front and at the back. Take the lift to Level 12, unit #12-12.
By MRT
- Alight at Orchard MRT (NS22 / TE14), 5 to 8 minutes on foot.
- Exit towards ION Orchard, walk along Orchard Road to Orchard Towers, then lift to Level 12.
By bus
- Alight at Delfi Orchard, bus stop 09169. Buses 7, 36, 36B, 77, 105, 106, 111, 123, 132, 174, 174e, 502, 502A.
- From the stop, turn right, walk along the pathway and use the zebra crossing. Orchard Towers is directly after it. One to three minutes.
- Alternative stop: Royal Thai Embassy, bus stop 09179, then walk across.
Parking, and the entrance that is not the obvious one
- The carpark entrance is at the rear residential block, off the side street. It is not the main Orchard Road entrance. Look for the ramp leading into the multi-storey carpark.
- Orchard Towers can be approached from Orchard Road, Claymore Road or Claymore Drive. If Orchard Road is jammed, come via the Claymore side.
- Parking is subject to availability.
Step-free and wheelchair access
- Drive or take a taxi to the carpark in the rear block of Orchard Towers.
- Go up to the 5th floor, which has a linkbridge across to level 4 of the front block.
- Take the lift just beyond the linkbridge up to Level 12.
By taxi or ride-hailing
- Search for Orchard Towers, 400 Orchard Road. Then lift to Level 12, #12-12.
Questions we get asked
Do I get treated at the first appointment, or only assessed?
Treated. Most of the 45 minutes is treatment. We work out what is driving the problem and start on it in the same appointment, which usually means hands-on manual therapy, joint mobilization and soft tissue work. The assessment keeps running while we treat, because how the tissue responds tells us as much as any single test.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. You can book directly. Bring any scans or reports you have. Some insurers ask for a referral before they reimburse, so check your policy.
Is there parking?
Yes, in the multi-storey carpark, but the entrance is at the rear residential block off the side street rather than the main Orchard Road frontage. It is the single thing people most often miss. Subject to availability.
Can I get here in a wheelchair?
Yes. Drive or taxi to the rear carpark, go up to the 5th floor, cross the linkbridge to level 4 of the front block, and take the lift just beyond it up to Level 12.
Which therapist should I ask for?
Tell us what happened and what you cannot do now, and we will match you. Hand, wrist and elbow cases are managed by our hand therapy team; everything else by the physiotherapists. If you are not sure, that is what the first appointment is for.
Are you open on Saturdays?
Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Shamaine also runs hand therapy at Orchard on Sundays for patients who cannot take leave on weekdays.
What are your other clinics?
Tampines, Serangoon and Tanjong Pagar, with Jurong East opening 20 October 2026. If another clinic is closer to you, say so when you message and we will book you there instead.
Tell us what it will not do
Which part, how long it has been there, and what you have stopped doing because of it. That last part usually tells us the most. We will tell you which therapist at Orchard treats it most often.
Physiotherapists and hand therapists assess, treat, splint, exercise, educate and refer; doctors diagnose, inject, prescribe and order imaging. If we find something that needs medical review we refer you back to your doctor.
