What we treat here
Pain is the first thing to leave. Strength is the last to train and recover.
Most people stop somewhere in between and call it recovered. That is the gap this clinic works in: injuries and operations where the pain has settled and the knee, shoulder, hand or back still will not do what it used to.
Physiotherapy
Backs and necks, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Injury, degeneration, and recovery after orthopedic surgery. Tampines is where our ACL reconstruction and return-to-sport work is concentrated.
Hand therapy
The finger, hand, wrist, forearm and elbow. Carpal and cubital tunnel, TFCC and wrist injuries, tennis elbow, and the stiffness that follows hand surgery. Custom thermoplastic splints are molded in the appointment.
How recovery is run
4-Stage Structured Recovery
Every plan at Phoenix runs on the Phoenix Recovery Protocol: four stages, with measurable criteria to move between them. You get a stage diagnosis at your first appointment, in writing.
Calm & Protect
Settling an angry joint is work, not rest. Protect the injury, and load only what the tissue can take.
Move & Mobilize
Range is trained back, not waited for. Measured in degrees at each review.
Rebuild & Strengthen
Strength, stability and stamina, loaded progressively and measured against your other side.
Return & Perform
Work, sport, stairs, gripping, lifting. Tested, not assumed.
None of the four stages is passive. Every one is trained, and every one has criteria you have to meet before you leave it. How the Protocol works →
Who you will see at Tampines
One therapist, one room, 45 minutes
You stay with the same therapist, because measuring range and strength over time only means something if the same person is taking the measurements. All are registered with the Allied Health Professions Council.

Assessment & Treatment
One standard 45-minute physiotherapy or hand therapy appointment, nett, no GST. Most of it is treatment. We work out what is actually driving the problem, and then we treat it, in the same appointment. You do not pay for a consultation and come back another day to be treated.
- Hands-on treatment from the first appointment: manual therapy, joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and a splint molded here if you need one
- Range, strength and function measured against your other side
- A stage diagnosis against the four stages
- A written plan and a home program you walk out holding
- Your next review dated into the diary with the same therapist
Your therapist then dates each stage review into the diary, so you know what the program involves before you commit to anything. No packages and no discounts for booking a course.

Questions we get asked
Do I get treated at the first appointment, or only assessed?
Treated. Most of the 45 minutes is treatment. We work out what is driving the problem and start on it in the same appointment, which usually means hands-on manual therapy, joint mobilization and soft tissue work. The assessment keeps running while we treat, because how the tissue responds tells us as much as any single test.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. You can book directly. Bring any scans or reports you have. Some insurers ask for a referral before they reimburse, so check your policy.
Is there parking?
Yes, within the Asia Green building itself, and there is a taxi drop-off at the building.
Can I get here in a wheelchair or with crutches?
Yes. The clinic is on the ground floor at unit #01-20, accessible at ground level with no steps. It is the easiest of our clinics to reach on crutches or after a lower limb operation.
I have had an ACL reconstruction. Is this the right clinic?
Yes. Fairuuz has been rehabilitating knees since 1997 and ACL reconstruction with the return to sport that follows is his main clinical focus. Bring your operation note.
Which therapist should I ask for?
Tell us what happened and what you cannot do now, and we will match you. Hand, wrist and elbow cases are managed by our hand therapy team; everything else by the physiotherapists.
What are your other clinics?
Orchard, Serangoon and Tanjong Pagar, with Jurong East opening 20 October 2026. If another clinic is closer to you, say so when you message and we will book you there instead.
Tell us what it will not do
Which part, how long it has been there, and what you have stopped doing because of it. That last part usually tells us the most. We will tell you which therapist at Tampines treats it most often.
Physiotherapists and hand therapists assess, treat, splint, exercise, educate and refer; doctors diagnose, inject, prescribe and order imaging. If we find something that needs medical review we refer you back to your doctor.
