Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy in Singapore
Find the page for the part of you that hurts.
Physiotherapy assesses how a joint moves and loads, works out why it is not doing that well, and trains it back. Below, the areas we see most. Each page explains how we assess it, what treatment involves, and roughly how many appointments it takes.
No referral needed to start. Five clinics across Singapore.
By body area
Where does it hurt?
Neck and back
Shoulder
Elbow
Elbows are seen by either team. Anything after elbow surgery goes to the hand therapists.
Hip and knee
Foot and ankle
Had an operation?
Post-surgical rehabilitation runs to a protocol
A repaired tendon, a plated fracture and a joint replacement each have different rules about what may move, when, and how much. If you have had surgery or have one booked, start there rather than on a general pain page.
What happens
How an assessment works
1. We measure it
Range of motion, strength, and what specifically provokes the pain. Written down, so the next visit is measured against the same numbers rather than against how you feel that day.
2. You get a number
The therapist records how many appointments the plan needs and the review points. You are told that at the first appointment, not asked to buy a package before anyone has examined you.
3. You get a home program
What you do between visits usually matters more than what happens in the room. You leave with it written down.
Appointments are 45 minutes at $230. Most post-injury problems run between two and eight appointments; post-surgical recovery runs longer.
Questions we get asked
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. You can book directly. If you have a referral letter, a scan report or an operation note, bring it, because it changes what we do first.
How many appointments will I need?
Most post-injury problems run between two and eight appointments. Post-surgical recovery runs longer, commonly six to thirty depending on the operation. You get a realistic range at the first appointment.
Can I claim this on insurance?
Many of our patients do, particularly where the claim is tied to an operation. It depends on your policy. Send us your policy details and we will tell you what applies before you book.
Is this physiotherapy or hand therapy?
Hands, wrists and post-operative elbows go to the hand therapy team. Everything else goes to physiotherapy. If you are not sure, describe it and we will route you.
What if it has been going on for years?
Still worth assessing. Long-standing problems take longer and we will be honest about what is realistically achievable, but “too late” is rarer than people assume.

What we can add to a plan
Some plans use equipment alongside the hands-on work and the exercise. Shockwave therapy is used for tendon problems that have not settled, and custom insoles are molded for foot and heel pain that keeps returning. Your therapist decides whether either belongs in your plan at the assessment, not before it.
Describe it in your own words
Tell us where it hurts, how long it has been going on, and what you cannot do because of it. We will tell you whether it needs an assessment, which therapist sees it, and when they are free.
