I graduated in India and worked in India and Australia before completing my master’s in manual and sports physiotherapy at the University of South Australia in 2009. That training is built around assessment: working out which structure is actually driving the problem, particularly in cases where the obvious answer has already been tried.

My approach combines hands-on manual therapy with exercise-based rehabilitation, because the manual work changes how a joint moves and the exercise is what makes the change hold. I am also a sports player myself, across cricket, volleyball, basketball, badminton and table tennis, so I understand what it is to want to be back on the court.

My main clinical interests are shoulder and knee problems, spinal dysfunction, biomechanical analysis of sports injuries, and exercise rehabilitation for muscle imbalance.

How the work is structured

Every plan I write runs on the Phoenix Recovery Protocol: four stages, each with criteria to meet before you leave it. If you have had an operation, physiotherapy after surgery sets out how those weeks are run. Physiotherapy covers everything else we see.

Amazing experience with Phoenix Rehab, was assisted by Mavis. She’s very kind and professional and did thorough check on my wrist. I feel very comfortable during the process.

I went in for thermoplastic splint, and everything went smoothly. She was able to address my needs on my left wrist sprain.

They were prompt with appointment process and inquiry. Also the clinic is very close to Tanjong Pagar MRT. I highly recommend!
