About Shamaine Soh

I’m passionate about hand and upper limb rehabilitation and I help people recovering from hand injuries regain function and confidence — so they can get back to work, family, hobbies, and everyday life with ease.

I started at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, working across acute medicine, orthopaedics, neurology, and outpatient rehabilitation — experience that shaped how
I see the rehab journey as a whole.

Ever since then, I’ve focused on hand therapy in a private setting: assessing and treating conditions of the fingers, hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow through hands-on treatment, therapeutic exercise, custom thermoplastic splinting, and evidence-based care. I really do enjoy empowering my clients with the knowledge and skills to actively participate in their own recovery, ensuring they feel supported throughout every stage of rehabilitation.

Clinical Interests

  • Hand and upper limb rehabilitation
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
  • Tendon, ligament and fracture rehabilitation
  • Custom thermoplastic splinting
  • Scar and oedema management
  • Ergonomic assessment and injury prevention

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and planning our next family adventure!

HAND THERAPY
One of the few clinics in Singapore with specialist hand therapists on staff.

  • Hand therapy is a specialist discipline that most physiotherapy clinics simply do not have and cannot provide.
  • Hand therapists and hand occupational therapists covers injuries and post-surgical recovery of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder girdle — requiring a different level of clinical training.
  • We also do customized thermoplastic splinting for the fingers, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow and even shoulders and knees too
  • For post-operative hand and wrist recovery, this isn’t optional – it can be significant movement, power, stability and stamina outcomes for someone who did hand therapy versus someone who didnt.

ALREADY SEEING A PHYSIO OR CHIRO?
If your current treatment isn't moving you forward — find out why.

  • Many of our patients come to Phoenix Rehab as a second opinion — after months at another clinic with limited progress.
  • We’ll dive and assess in depth to find out the true cause of the injuries and conditions (clarity and knowledge is half the battle!), work and communicate with your existing doctor, and tell you plainly what we think and know…and treat you of course, the best we can.
  • Many patients are discharged around 70 to 80% recovery. We aim to help you recover as fully as your body allows, the same way we would want for our own family.
  • If you’ve been told to “just manage it” or “learn to live with it” — come in. You may have more options than you’ve been told.
