About Norhayati Ahmad, Principal Sports & Deep Tissue Massage Therapist
Practicing from Serangoon, Fridays and Sundays, and Jurong East · English, Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia
- Basic Sports Trainer (SSMC@SSI)
- Certificate in Sports Massage (SSC)
Sports and deep tissue massage at Phoenix Rehab is led by Norhayati Ahmad, who has worked with Singapore’s current and retired national athletes since 2009. She treats tight necks, shoulders, calves and backs every day, and massage here runs alongside your physiotherapy or hand therapy rather than separately from it, so the treatment and the rehabilitation pull in the same direction.
Norhayati has been a part-time Sports Trainer with Sport Singapore (2010-2019), SSMC@SSI (2019 to present) and FAS (2014-2020), alongside freelance work as a sports trainer and masseur. She has represented the Singapore Medical Team as a Sports Trainer at major sporting events since 2010.
Major events she has worked at
- Youth Olympic Games (2010), Singapore
- Asian Youth Games (2013), Nanjing, China
- SEA Games (2013 Myanmar, 2015 Singapore, 2023 Cambodia)
- ASEAN Para Games (2023), Cambodia
- Asian Games (2014 Incheon, South Korea; 2023 Hangzhou, China)
- Asian Para Games (2023), Hangzhou, China
- Pre-event preparation for the 2010 Olympics table tennis team
- Paralympic preparation (2016, 2021, 2024)
- Singapore Army Shooting Team (2015 Thailand, 2018 Malaysia)
- HSBC Rugby Sevens South Africa Team (2016 to 2019), Singapore
- WWE wrestlers (2015, 2017, 2019), Singapore
- World Para Athletics (2023), Paris, France
She also worked with the Netball and Women’s Hockey teams in international competition between 2011 and 2015.
In her own words
- “If they have the energy to push themselves to their limit, I will push myself to have the energy to help them.”
- “It is an honour to be of service to the nation, and very rewarding to see them breaking records and on the podium.”
Where this sits
This work runs alongside the clinical rehabilitation rather than in place of it. Massage therapy covers what I do, and the physiotherapists and hand therapists I work beside are here. Their plans run on the Phoenix Recovery Protocol.
Book with me directly
- SERANGOON (Sundays available), book with Kak Yati
- JURONG EAST, opening 25 October 2026
Last reviewed 6 October 2026. Massage therapy at Phoenix Rehab is a supporting treatment and is not a substitute for physiotherapy, hand therapy or medical assessment.
